Dungeons Guide

Dungeons are instanced challenge zones added in Update 2. You need Dungeon Keys to enter, and the rewards — Chikara, rerolls and rare drops — make them one of the best mid-to-late-game farms.

What Dungeons are

Dungeons are separate instanced zones where you fight waves of enemies and a dungeon boss for concentrated rewards. They arrived with Update 2 in late June 2026 and quickly became a core part of the progression loop alongside Dimension bosses and training spots.

Unlike open-world boss fights, dungeons have a fixed entry cost — Dungeon Keys — and a structured reward table. That makes them predictable: you know exactly how many runs you can do and roughly what each run pays out.

How to enter a Dungeon

  1. Stock Dungeon Keys. The DELAYCODE from Update 2 granted 8 keys; future codes and quests refill your supply. Check active codes after every patch.
  2. Meet the Total Power gate. Early dungeons unlock around mid-game TP; harder tiers require stats from Dimension 3+.
  3. Find the portal. The main Dungeon entrance sits in Dimension 1 near spawn. Some updates add secondary portals in higher Dimensions.
  4. Select a tier and confirm entry. One key is consumed per run.
  5. Clear the waves, defeat the dungeon boss, and collect rewards from the completion screen.

If you run out of keys, shift back to boss farming and Chikara crate routes while waiting for the next code drop or quest refresh.

Dungeon Keys and the Malevolent Key

Two key items sound similar but serve different roles:

ItemPurpose
Dungeon KeyStandard entry token for regular Dungeons. Consumed per run.
Malevolent KeySpecial key tied to Update 1 JJK content. Opens Jujutsu Kaisen-themed dungeon or boss encounters. Granted by codes like UPDATE1.

If you still have a Malevolent Key from an early code, prioritize using it before spending standard Dungeon Keys — JJK content ties into secret bosses and high-value Trait Reroll farming.

Best loadout for Dungeons

Dungeons reward consistent damage over burst windows. Bring:

  • A high-tier Chakra-scaling Fruit or Special from the tier list.
  • Your best locked Champion with optimized traits.
  • At least one mobility skill for dodging wave attacks.
  • Stat boosts from redeemed codes — Stat Boosts and Yen Boosts stack with dungeon rewards for faster progression.

For wave-heavy rooms, AoE Fruits like Mythical Koi or Buddha clear faster than single-target builds. For dungeon bosses with tight DPS checks, swap to your highest burst Special.

Rewards and farming efficiency

Typical dungeon clears pay:

  • Chikara Shards — direct currency for Champion rolls and Specials.
  • Yen — scales with Class; redeem Yen codes after ranking up.
  • Trait Rerolls — optimize your Champions after summoning.
  • Fruit Rolls — gamble for new Fruits without hunting spawns.

Run dungeons when you have keys banked and active boosts from codes like UPD3RELEASE (Chikara Boost + Yen Boost + Stat Boost bundle). The farm Chikara and Yen guide compares dungeon income against boss loops and passive crate farming so you can pick the best method for your current stage.

Most players alternate: boss for Powers, dungeons for rerolls and rolls, training spots for raw stats. The progression roadmap lays out when to shift time between these three.

Staying current

BlockZone adds dungeon tiers and adjusts rewards with major patches. After Update 3 (July 2026), codes like HOTFIXPATCH and FREESERVERBOOST added Fruit Rolls and Server Boosts that pair well with dungeon sessions. Bookmark the update log and codes page to catch new key bundles the moment they drop.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get Dungeon Keys?

Dungeon Keys come from codes (DELAYCODE granted 8 keys), quest rewards, boss drops and milestone events. Redeem active codes first — they are the fastest way to stock keys after an update.

Where are Dungeons located?

Look for the Dungeon portal in Dimension 1 near spawn, or check the left-side menu for a Dungeons icon once you meet the Total Power requirement. Higher Dimensions may unlock additional dungeon tiers.

What rewards do Dungeons give?

Chikara Shards, Yen, Trait Rerolls, Fruit Rolls and occasional rare items like the Malevolent Key. Rewards scale with dungeon difficulty and your current Class.

Do I need a team for Dungeons?

Lower-tier dungeons are soloable with a solid Fruit or Special and a good Champion. Higher tiers benefit from co-op — bring friends or server-mates with complementary builds.
